Helping leaders understand how lived experience shapes people, performance, and leadership.

Through Trauma-Resilient Leadership®, Patty Bennett invites leaders to reconsider how lived experience influences trust, accountability, decision-making, workplace culture, and organizational performance. Drawing on nearly two decades of leadership development, workforce resilience, and survivor-informed systems, she equips leaders with practical strategies that strengthen both people and organizational results.

My Story

My journey from adversity to leadership has shaped how I see people, resilience, and the power of human connection. Today, I help leaders and organizations build stronger cultures, healthier workplaces, and lasting impact.

I never set out to create a leadership framework.

I set out to understand what shapes people and why it matters to leadership.

Throughout my career, I noticed a pattern that traditional leadership models rarely addressed. Leaders were often taught to focus on behaviors, performance, and outcomes, yet many of the challenges they faced were rooted in something deeper: the lived experiences that shape how people think, communicate, build trust, respond to stress, and engage at work.

My own lived experiences, including surviving labor trafficking, gave me a perspective I could not have learned from textbooks alone. Combined with nearly two decades of leadership development, organizational consulting, workforce resilience, and survivor-informed systems, those experiences led me to ask different questions about leadership.

Those questions eventually became Trauma-Resilient Leadership® and the S.H.I.F.T. Model®.

Today, my work is dedicated to helping leaders create workplaces where accountability and humanity strengthen one another, and where understanding people becomes a strategic advantage.

My "why"

Family lies at the heart of my joy; every moment spent together, from daily routines to vacation getaways, forms the most cherished highlights of my life. Our sweet pets add an extra layer of happiness, enriching our family dynamic.

The Heart Behind the Work

For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of building a life filled with love, purpose, and opportunity.

That dream was not always easy to hold onto. Life brought challenges I never expected, including experiences that tested my resilience, faith, and sense of possibility. Yet through those experiences, I learned that our circumstances do not have to define our future.

Today, I am grateful to share my life with my husband of more than twenty years and our three incredible children. They are my greatest blessing and a daily reminder of what matters most. Together, we have built a life rooted in faith, perseverance, love, and a commitment to helping others.

My family is the foundation of my why. They inspire me to keep growing, keep learning, and keep showing up with purpose. They remind me that leadership begins at home, that relationships matter, and that success means very little if it is not shared with the people we love.

The work I do today is deeply connected to my own journey. My experiences have shaped my belief that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to thrive. They have taught me that leadership is not simply about results. It is about the impact we have on the people around us.

Whether I am coaching an individual, training leaders, consulting with organizations, or speaking to an audience, my mission remains the same: to help people grow, build stronger relationships, and create environments where others can flourish.

At the end of the day, my greatest accomplishments are not found in titles, awards, or professional milestones. They are found in the people I love, the lives I have the privilege to impact, and the opportunity to serve with purpose.

That is my why
